Showcase: dual arm in VR

This showcase shows robot programming and control through VR interface, using ROS and Unity. The VR environment is viewed through the Oculus Rift.

Architecture

The architecture for this implementation makes use of Oculus Rift and Touch controllers, a state of the art VR device with controllers that can enable intuitive interactions inside the virtual environment (VE). The manipulator is the Comau RLM dual arm manipulator, which resembles the human body structure so intuitive manipulations can be achieved through VR applications. The software architecture consists of ROS with the MoveIt framework to control the manipulator and Unity for the VR interface. The integration of the VR interface with the robot is achieved with the ROS bridge framework provided by ROS# plugin for Unity.
